Overview
The Northtac F12 open reflex red dot sight combines a wide 28 × 20mm viewing window with a fine 2 MOA aiming dot, Shake N’ Wake activation, automatic shutoff and an RMR mounting interface. Its compact Black 6061-T6 aluminum housing is rated IP67 for water and dust resistance.
Features
Wide 28 × 20mm Viewing Window
The open-reflex design provides an expansive sight picture for rapid target acquisition. The optic offers true 1× magnification and unlimited eye relief.
Fine 2 MOA Aiming Dot
A 2 MOA dot provides a precise aiming reference without covering an excessive portion of the target. Northtac lists red and green illumination versions; confirm the supplied reticle color before publication.
Shake N’ Wake Activation
Motion sensing activates the illumination when movement is detected. Automatic shutoff helps conserve battery power while the sight remains stationary.
Seven Brightness Levels
One night-vision setting and six daylight settings allow the dot intensity to be adjusted for changing ambient-light conditions.
6061-T6 Aluminum Construction
The Black housing is made from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum with a matte hard-anodized finish. The official specification lists IP67 water and dust resistance and shock resistance up to 3000g.
CR1632 Power
The F12 uses one CR1632 3V battery. Northtac lists up to 360 hours at the highest setting and up to 36,000 hours at lower settings. A battery is not listed as included because package and shipping rules can vary.
RMR Mounting Interface
The optic uses an RMR footprint for compatible pistol slides and adapter plates. Footprint naming alone does not guarantee fit, so the slide cut, recoil posts, screws and plate compatibility must be verified before installation.
